Overview
She's the Sheriff is an American sitcom created by Dan Guntzelman and Steve Marshall. Aired in syndication for two seasons from September 1987 to April 1989, the series stars Suzanne Somers as Hildy Granger, a young woman whose husband, the sheriff of fictional Lakes County, Nevada, is killed by a drunk driver. Now widowed with two teenage children to support, Hildy accepts the county commissioner's offer to appoint her as sheriff, despite her lack of relevant experience. The show focuses on her efforts to handle the daily problems of locals and tourists, while learning to work with her four deputies. In particular, Hildy has routine disagreements with Max Rubin, who sees her undeserving of the job.

Rubin spitefully enters Hildy's picture into a magazine called Loverboy, who expect her to pose for it. Also, a sheik fights for Hildy's affections.
Monkey Business
A monkey is brought in on suspicion of drunk driving. Kenny blames someone at the station for breaking the front window. Rubin tries to get Hildy in trouble for animal abuse.
Max Moves In
Hildy pulls all the stops to try to get a thank you out of Rubin after he moves in with her and her family and drives everyone to their breaking points.
Poker Fever
Hildy is on a string of good luck which her mother calls 'The Golden Streak'.
Hildy Gets Shot
After getting shot, Hildy's relatives visit and she recounts how she became sheriff with newly created flashbacks.
Child's Play
Hildy brings young shoplifter Percy into her home but isn't prepared when the delinquent convinces Kenny to run away.
Call Me Madam
Hildy goes undercover as a hooker and Rubin goes undercover as a john to bust a madam.
The Perils of Pauline
After some bad advice from Hildy, her sister Pauline divorces her husband and marries Rubin, who thinks she has money.

Rubin brings in a magician who is plotting a jail escape, complete with press coverage. However, Rubin takes his wallet containing the lock picks. Kenny goes to spectate and Hildy finds the wallet, but doesn't want to break her son's belief.
